Arrival in Tahiti

Upon arrival in at the International Airport in Papeete, Tahiti, your passport and air ticket receipts will be checked by Immigration.

After that, you will claim your luggage and proceed with it through the declarations/ customs area and then into the main arrival corridor.  As you exit the declarations/customs area into the main terminal, please look for the agents from our local office who will greet you with a traditional Tahitian floral lei.

Our local office in French Polynesia is Tahiti Nui Travel.  There will be a white board with your last names on it, and our agents will be holding a Tahiti Nui Travel sign and wearing a Polynesian style shirt. Please approach them and tell them who you are.

You may be asked to give our local agents a copy of your attached Venture Tahiti Itinerary. So, be sure to have an extra copy with you or have your smart phone App available.  Our local agents will provide you with your inter-island flight or air passes and a voucher book as necessary for your resorts, transfer times, excursions, and other aspects of your trip. It is very important that you review these items carefully and compare them to the itinerary we provided you prior to your departure.  In some cases, slight adjustments may have been made with regard to timing and you should defer to the schedule you receive once you arrive in Tahiti. Our agents will be glad to review your itinerary and schedule with you in detail, and then transfer you to your hotel, ferry or your next flight connection.
