All travelers must present a valid passport to board a flight to French Polynesia.
Your first and last name on your passport must match your international air tickets exactly. You will also be asked to present your passport to clear “customs” upon arrival in French Polynesia and upon return to the U.S. from French Polynesia.
Your passport must be valid for at least 90 days beyond your return date (180 days is generally recommended for international travel).
It is solely the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that all needed documents are complete and up to date for valid entry into the country. U.S. and Canadian citizens only need a valid U.S. or Canadian passport and do not need a VISA to enter French Polynesia. A temporary VISA will be awarded upon passing through passport control.
Please Note! Venture Tahiti cannot process a visa application on your behalf. You will need to complete the visa process on your own, separate from your booking with Venture Tahiti.
Click here to access the official French website for visas: France-visas.gouv.fr | The official website for visa application to France.
On their home page, step 1 is a tool that will help youdetermine if you need a visa. If so, thewebsite guides you through the visa application process. As you move through your application, theywill likely ask you for copies of your travel itinerary, airline tickets andyour travel invoice. You can find all of this information on the My Trip portion of this portal.
Further, we recommend that all international travelers consult the State Department’s Website and the official CDC website for the most recent travel alerts.
