One of the smaller and more intimate resorts in Bora Bora, the Intercontinental Le Moana offers a truly authentic Polynesian experience. Conveniently located on Matira Point boasting beautiful white-sand beaches, this resort offers great beach and overwater bungalow options. This resort features two white-sand beaches with excellent snorkeling and a fresh-water sand bottom pool. Because this resort is more authentic, the bungalows are not as spacious as some of the other properties on the island, however they are comfortable and well-appointed, featuring some of the best water in Bora Bora and offering good snorkeling.
There are a total of 63 bungalows at the Intercontinental Le Moana – 51 Overwater and 12 Beach Bungalows.
All bungalows at the resort are mini-suites with a bedroom with a king bed and a living room as well as a large bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower.
Magnificent bungalows with terrace, set on the beach, in the shade of coconut trees. Even though these units are not over the lagoon, the water is just a few steps away and they are close to the resort facilities. The bungalows feature a bedroom with a king bed and a living room as well as a large bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower.
Built over a particularly crystal-clear part of the lagoon, these units are closest to the resort major facilities and enjoy a view over the lagoon, the beach, and island. These spacious junior suites feature a split-level terrace and sundeck from which you step into the magnificent white sand bottom lagoon. You also have a glass coffee that in the living room so you can see the lagoon waters and marine life below your bungalow. Like the beach bungalows, each suite has a bedroom with a king bed and a living room as well as a large bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower.
This is our preferred bungalow category at the resort! The Horizon Overwater Bungalows are the exact same size and layout as the Lagoon Overwater Bungalows with all the same amenities. The views from your Horizon bungalow are better as they face toward the east offering unobstructed views over the lagoon and the reef in the horizon.
These 5 bungalows are located at the end of each pontoon and offer the best views and best privacy at the resort. The bungalows face away from the island and the beach offering unobstructed views over the lagoon and the reef in the horizon. The End Of Pontoon Overwater Bungalows are the exact same size and layout as the Lagoon Overwater Bungalows with all the same amenities.
This is a great bungalow choice for families. The Poevai Suite consists of 2 Overwater Junior Suites that are connected by a large hallway and a separate living room. There are a total of 2 kings beds and 2 sofa beds.

Le Moana guests are welcome to use the fitness center and spa at their sister property – the Intercontinental Thalasso – which is located on a private island in the northeast corner of the lagoon. You can also use the Thalasso’s beach and pool during the day. There is a boat shuttle that runs frequently between the two resorts (fees apply).
