All other passport holders please ask your Venture Tahiti Travel Specialist for details.
The Tahiti Islands are a very safe and welcoming destination. However, prior to any international travel, we recommend that you check the State Department’s Website for any warnings or alerts related to international travel or specific countries in your itinerary.
For the most current worldwide health information, including travel alerts for specific destinations due to COVID-19 or other health related concerns, consult your family physician. Travelers should also refer to the official website for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or call the CDC at 1.800.232.4636 for full details prior to travel. You’ll find information on recent outbreaks, required vaccinations, safe food and water tips, insect protection, illness and injury abroad, and more.
It is the responsibility of the traveler to read, understand and comply with all government and airline regulations, conditions and requirements related to COVID-19. As stated below, Venture Tahiti, or its affiliates, shall not be responsible for any travel restrictions, delays, interruptions, or additional costs related to Force Majeure, more specifically COVID-19. There will be no refund for unused land arrangements after departure from North America.
For safety information related to your planned destination, we recommend visiting the State Department travel website. For medical and health information, we recommend the Centers for Disease Control website. For the latest COVID-19 guidance, we recommend checking your airline’s website as well as the tourism board, for your destination.
Please note, we bear no responsibility for COVID-19 related requirements that travel suppliers and governments may impose from time to time, such as health affidavit forms, required vaccinations, health screenings prior to departure or upon arrival, face coverings, or quarantines. If rescheduling due to COVID-19, we will waive the Venture Destinations amendment fees associated with the first date change as part of our “Book with Confidence!” policy. For subsequent changes and rebooking services we will charge a nonrefundable fee.
All prices are quoted in US dollars. Because of the potential volatility of global exchange rates, we recommend you confirm our price at time of booking. Prices have been calculated based on tariffs and rate of exchange at time of publication for specific travel dates and a specific final payment date. Prices may be subject to change as a result of the increased volatility in the global financial and currency markets due to COVID-19 or other global economic factors that cause a significant change in currency exchange rates. If your trip or final payment is delayed, new taxes are introduced, and/or fuel surcharges increase these factors may increase your price as well, up until final payment is received. Once we have received your deposit you would be given the opportunity to pay in full to avoid a price increase (should it occur). Once final payment is received, all prices will be guaranteed for your currently scheduled travel dates. Should your travel dates or final payment date change, your package pricing may need to be recalculated. Please note any local fees or taxes may still increase.
All bookings require a minimum NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of at least $600 per person, plus the cost of international airfare (possibly higher depending on your itinerary and the resorts selected), due at time of booking. Reservations which include airfare for international flights require full payment for the current price of the flights as part of the non-refundable deposit as well. The deposit will not be processed unless we have your itinerary confirmed as requested. Some tours and arrangements can require a higher deposit and earlier final payment. The exact amount will be advised at the time of booking. Insurance, which is recommended, must be paid in full when purchased and must be purchased prior to final payment.
Your Travel Specialist, our operations staff, and our agents in your destination work very hard to plan and arrange your travel and provide continuing assistance, advice and support. In order to perform these professional services, a non-refundable deposit is required. Your deposit covers fixed expenses and reservation costs associated with planning your trip, arranging confirmations and services with your hotels and tour operators and, if applicable, purchasing non-refundable, international and inter-island airfare. These costs are unrecoverable in the case of a cancelation by any party, which is why they are non-refundable.
If you must postpone or reschedule your trip due to COVID-19, or if your flight is cancelled by the airline, this does not waive the non-refundable nature of your initial deposit. However, your deposit is fully protected through our “Book with Confidence” policy and 100% of the deposit is applied toward the quoted price of your vacation or honeymoon.
The balance of your Tahiti vacation or Tahiti honeymoon will be due in full at least 45 days prior to departure (potentially 60 days depending upon the resorts selected). For bookings within 45 days of departure, full payment will be due within 5 business days of your Tahiti confirmation. Clients are free to pay in installments at any time before your final payment due date. Confirmation of your payment will be noted and applied to your invoice amount. If the balance is not paid by the stipulated date, the right is reserved to cancel the booking(s) without further notice and without refund.
Cancellations received more than 45-75 days prior to departure will incur a loss of the non-refundable deposit as specified above. Cancellations are subject to additional fees of at least $500 per person in addition to the non-refundable deposit, plus some resort deposits are non-refundable. All airline tickets are non-refundable. If cancellation occurs within 45 -75 days prior of your departure date (depending upon the resort), the fee is at least $500 per person, plus any other penalties (up to 40% of package price for cancellations 75-61 days prior to departure and 60% – 100% for cancellations less than 61-31 days prior to departure), and any other applicable supplier and resort charges (see resort cancellation policy for specific details). Client requested changes made after booking will incur a change fee of at least $50 per passenger plus any applicable supplier charges. Select resorts charge non-refundable deposits and charge full payment if canceled within 60 days of arrival. Other specific supplier and airline cancellation penalties may apply in addition to cancellation and amendment fees charged by Venture Tahiti and its industry partners and affiliates. There will be no refund for unused land arrangements after departure from North America. All cancellations required in writing.
We recommend that you purchase a third-party travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. Travel protection plans can include coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more. For most providers, COVID-19 is still considered a covered event if you, a family member, or a traveling companion contract the virus. If you are concerned about cancelling due to the spread of COVID-19 at your home or destination, consider a specific type of benefit called “Cancel for Any Reason” that would protect 75% of your trip expenses. Please note that, unless you buy a Cancel for Any Reason policy, most policies have a specific clause stating they do not cover epidemics and pandemics, especially when travel warnings are in place. Some potential benefits, such as Cancel for Any Reason or a pre-existing condition waiver are time sensitive benefits that must be purchased within 14-21 days from your initial trip deposit date.
Industry experts recommend that you purchase a travel insurance policy issued by an independent, third-party provider that is not a part of, or owned by, the travel company through which you book your trip. That way you are assured of fair and impartial treatment. Each client agrees that any uninsured losses are not the responsibility of Venture Tahiti, or its affiliates. It is sole responsibility of the client to evaluate and purchase a policy with appropriate coverage. Venture Tahiti does not own or operate a travel insurance provider.
Please note that most hotels in French Polynesia are independently owned and only managed by the corporate name under which they may operate. As a result, the policies in French Polynesia can be unique for using and awarding membership points. In many cases, hotels in French Polynesia will not award points per night if special offers or discounted pricing have been used in conjunction with the pricing of the stay. Award points are normally granted for incidental expenditures such as meals, drinks and other items purchase during your stay. Membership points and other membership reward perks are offered and awarded at the sole discretion of the hotel(s) and cannot be guaranteed by Venture Tahiti.

The first schedule change due to COVID-19 is complimentary, as a courtesy to our clients. After the first itinerary change, Venture Destinations must charge a fee to cover time and expenses associated with rebooking your trip. For involuntary changes, related to border closures, the schedule change fee is reduced to $50 per person. For schedule changes not mandated by border closures, Venture Destinations will need to charge its standard itinerary rescheduling fee of $125 per person.
