Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa is located on the northwest part of the atoll of Rangiroa, between the passes of Tiputa and Avatoru. Nestled in the heart of a magnificent coconut plantation, bordered by a white sand beach and a turquoise lagoon, the hotel boasts an elegant and refined architecture in perfect harmony with its environment. The Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa includes 60 villas and bungalows with exceptional style, scattered throughout the coconut grove, on the beach an overlooking the lagoon. A spa with a rain shower and a fitness room completes the hotel facilities. On the waterfront, a restaurant and a bar on stilts surround a swimming pool with jacuzzi.
There are a total of 60 bungalows at the Kia Ora – 10 Overwater Bungalows and 50 Beachfront/Garden bungalows (most with pool or jacuzzi)
The Beach Bungalows enjoy a prime location, facing the crystal-clear lagoon of Rangiroa. All have a private outdoor jacuzzi surrounded by a deck overlooking the lagoon so you can take in the panoramic view spread out over the horizon. Rock in the hammock alongside the beach for a holiday in paradise. The interior has been refreshed and retains the original Polynesian style of the hotel (wood furniture, local handicrafts). There is a spacious living room and a separate bedroom, both open to the terrace on lagoon side, and to the bathroom on the garden side. The bathroom features a very large shower.
This bungalow is just like a regular Beach Bungalow with Jacuzzi. There is an additional bedroom on a second floor with a king-size bed and breathtaking views of the sea. This bungalow is a great option for families.
This category faces the lagoon and combines Polynesian influences with sophisticated, modern style. Our favorite feature is a nice infinity private pool on the terrace that overlooks the beach and the lagoon. Inside, the bed is the focal point of the room as it faces toward the deck with great views. There is a small sitting are as well. All around the room, murals with soothing colors, representing ancestral Polynesian motifs, add a touch of warmth. The bathroom is separated by frosted glass panels and carved wood providing a feeling of space. Behind the bungalow, a coral wall has an open-air bathtub lined with tropical plants.
These are our favorite bungalows with a private pool & garden surrounded by walls of white coral. This very pleasant & intimate room category has been totally redecorated in a modern style. In your garden, you will find a long plunge pool and a “fare pote’e” for outside dinner. Inside, the main room has a king size bed and a sitting area. The room and the bathroom are both very spacious and luminous. There is a walk-in shower inside as well as an outdoor bathtub surrounded by plants.
These villas are very similar to the interior and feel of the Villa with Pool. They feature an additional living room space separated from the bedroom that has access to the deck, pool and garden.
The Overwater bungalows are the best place to enjoy the Rangiroa lagoon. They feature a large terrace and sundeck for excellent outdoor living. There are stairs from the deck down to a private swim platform for easy access to the lagoon. Inside, the main room serves as the bedroom and living room. There is a glass floor panel in the seating area allowing you to see the marine life below. The spacious bathroom has a bathtub with separate shower.
These are the largest unit at the resort and would be great for a family to share. They have the bedroom and bathroom of a Villa with Pool, the extra living space of a Junior Suite. In addition, they have another separate bedroom with bathroom. They also have an extended deck around the pool. Lots of space for up to 5 people!
