Nestled away on a private barrier island surrounding Tikehau’s vast lagoon, Ninamu is a hidden gem awaiting adventuresome travelers in search of an all-inclusive getaway. Tikehau is all about the water, and Ninamu was named for the bright turquoise hue of the islet’s endless interior lagoon. Diving and snorkeling fanatics will be delighted by the incredible array of tropical marine species that are waiting to be discovered below the surface of the glittering sea.
For travelers in search of a boutique experience, the Ninamu Resort is perfect alternative to a more traditional hotel. With only eight intimate bungalows made from local materials, you will feel transported to a simpler time while you enjoy this slice of paradise.
These charming bungalows are tucked away on the white sandy shores of the private islet. With options for 2, 3 or 4 adults, this category is perfect for any traveler. Bungalows 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the resort are Beach Side.
Similar to the Beach Side units but located on the garden side of the island beneath the coconut fringes. Bungalow 5 is perfect for a family or group of friends with space for up to 5 adults. Bungalows 6 and 7 are smaller units connected by a large terrace with a wall between (ideal for two couples traveling together or a family of four adults).
This brand-new bungalow is the only to feature air-conditioning and private spa jacuzzi. Lovely views of the sparkling lagoon.
Standard room amenities include:
It should be noted that Ninamu Resort belongs to the “guesthouses & family hotels” classification since it features limited dining options, housekeeping services, staff and other differences compared to the more typical hotel experience. However, this family-run property is bursting with Polynesian hospitality and offers a glimpse of the true Tahitian family.
The dining options are limited due to its remote location, but the resort offers friendly staff and good food. Normally serving local fish freshly caught from the lagoon along with other international and local dishes. All meals are included but beverages are at an additional cost. Each meal is served in a charming dining room open to the elements to enjoy the natural ambiance of the island. We recommend sipping cocktails while stargazing in the evenings.
Breakfast is available from 6am to 9am with a selection of fresh baked breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, yogurt, cheese, cereals and eggs.
Lunch offered at 12:30pm with one set course
Dinner begins with appetizers at the bar just before sunset at 6pm. Two set courses.
Bar next to the restaurant serves cocktails and other beverages whenever meals are served
It should be noted that meals can be adjusted according to activity schedules.
The property owner Chris and his team will show you all of Tikehau’s points of interest which are mostly centered around her majestic lagoon.
