Named one of the world’s top 25 escapes by Conde Nast Traveler, Vahine Island Resort offers an authentic South Seas Experience to fulfill your French Polynesian fantasies. Tucked away on a 9-acre private islet surrounded by one of Tahaa’s untouched lagoons, this member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World is the perfect addition to your Tahitian itinerary. Let yourself be lulled by the sounds of the ocean waves crashing against the island’s coral necklace. Enjoy the majestic views toward the island of Tahaa, or the splendid sunset behind Bora Bora in the distance. Surrounded by white sand beaches, the resort features three Beach Bungalows, three Beach Suites, or three Overwater Bungalows. Our favorite is the spacious Beach Suite with unbelievable views. Each romantic bungalow offers a taste “rustic luxury” and is made from locally hand-crafted materials with the perfect blend of Polynesian woods, thatched roofs, bamboo, pandanus walls and modern comforts. Spend your days relaxing beneath the coconut grove or snorkeling by the coral reef. The warm staff here offers friendly and intimate service and will make sure your stay is superb. Vahine Island is well-known for its spectacular cuisine, so breakfast and dinner are included with all stays – breakfasts are cooked to order and dinner is always a special treat!
Comfortable units with a small terrace overlooking the lagoon and island of Bora Bora across the sea. Furnished with tropical accents and rich Polynesian woods for an authentic experience.
Offer a mix of comfort and elegance just like the regular Beach Bungalows, but with a larger interior and two private terraces – one facing the lush gardens and coconut grove, the other facing the sparkling turquoise lagoon. We recommend the end unit for the best privacy and unforgettable views.
Lovely and warm interiors welcome guests afloat Tahaa’s unspoiled lagoon. These units feature a nice private terrace with hammock to enjoy breathtaking views across the lagoon. A glass bottom table is perfect for watching the fish swim beneath.
