Nestled among the coconut groves along a spectacular pink and white sand beach, this hidden gem is tucked away on one of French Polynesia’s most pristine and exotic atolls. Enjoy a true South seas experience in of the Tikehau Pearl’s authentic Polynesian beach or overwater bungalows which are spacious and adorned with wood and woven-pandanus walls. Guests venture to the Tikehau Pearl Beach not for fancy meals and upscale accommodation, but instead for a truly authentic getaway. The Tikehau Pearl Beach may be a bit rustic compared to other island resorts, but it’s perfect for travelers looking to pair a “do-nothing” island with the more active Society islands. Friendly staff and a quiet ambiance make this a truly relaxing stop on any island tour.
Ultimately Tikehau is all about the lagoon. One side of the resort motu looks across to the outer reef and endless ocean where the tide breaks against the coral while the other side overlooks serene beaches and the gentle turquoise waters of Tikehau’s magnificent inner lagoon. Jacque Cousteau described Tikehau as having the richest marine life he had ever seen, and said, “The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one it its net of wonder forever.” Diving fanatics will not be disappointed at the diverse underwater majesty of this islet.
All of the overwater bungalows are comfortable with a nice terrace. The interior features a king size bed with glass bottom table, perfect for watching the brightly colored fish swim beneath. Enjoy authentic Polynesian accents in a clean and simple bungalow as you gaze across the glorious lagoon. The evening sky is absolutely breath-taking with thousands of sparkling stars scattered across the night. This introductory unit is closest to the pontoon and does not feature air-conditioning or direct access to the lagoon.
These bungalows are tucked beneath the coconut trees with lovely views across the pristine lagoon. The interior is authentic Polynesian with woven pandadus walls and thatched roof. Enjoy plenty of space and air-conditioning with this category.
The same layout as the Overwater Bungalow but located at the end of the first pontoon for good privacy. These units also feature incredible lagoon views and direct lagoon access (but no air-conditioning).
The largest and newest overwater units, these suites feature soaring ceilings and a location over the calmer side of the motu – also granting an unmatched view of the marvelous lagoon. We recommend this overwater suite because it has air-conditioning and direct lagoon access.
This is the newest villa at Tikehau Pearl Beach and is splendid for a more indulgent guest. The perfect blend of comfort and nature, this villa features the same design as the Beach Bungalows but with larger living room and bedroom suite. A large terrace is equipped with chaise lounges, a shaded area for outdoor dining, and a private swimming pool.
